Summer Lovin' Tag

So a few weeks ago Fleur De Force did a video answering the questions to the Summer Lovin' tag which you can watch here, and yes she worked alongside Starbucks which I'm not but I liked the questions so thought I would answer them anyway.

Also I'm sorry I still haven't uploaded my clothing haul, I took all of the pictures and edited them however I really didn't like the way they had come out.

1. Summer lipstick you're loving?

See Sheer from mac. I have been wearing it basically everyday since I got it as it is a colour that is so easy to wear, it also has such good staying power so I don't have to worry about re applying it lots throughout the day.

2. Summer nail polish you're loving?

For pretty much the whole of these holidays so far I've had acrylic nails so haven't been painting them myself, I tried to look at the name of the nail polish they used this time however it didn't seem to have one.

3. Bikini you're loving this summer?

This one from wearhouse,

Me and my sister share pretty much all of our clothes and stuff, she has gone on holiday this week and taken the bikini with her hence why I have taken the picture of the website.

4. Favourite summer Frappuccino from Starbucks?

Mocha Cookie Crumble,
Or
Carmel Cream with a pump of coffee.

5. Favourite fake tan?

I don't need to fake tan haha.

6. Favourite summer song?

I thought about this for so long and I really couldn't think of just one song so I've made a small list:

Pills N Potions- Nicki Minaj
Happy Little Pill- Troye Sivan
Crazy Stupid Love- Cheryl Cole
Fresh R&B playlist on Spotify

7. Favourite summer accessory?

Bag- Michael Kors

This bag looks small but you can fit a lot more than you would think inside, it also goes with pretty much everything.

8. Favourite summer fragrance/perfume?

Gucci Guilty intense

9. Summer book you're loving?

Well I am not a bit reader at all! So The Fault In Our Stars as that was the last book I read, however it is as good as everyone says so if you haven't read it you definitely should.

10. What are you most excited to do this summer?

I've had my holiday, so now its just meeting up with friends and making new memories day by day.

Beauty Haul

So since the holidays have started I've been doing a lot more shopping then I actually realise, so I thought that I would bring together some of the beauty products I have purchased and put them in a haul for you. I've also purchased a lot of clothing so a clothing haul will also be coming up very soon!

I've included prices of all of the products that I have mentioned:

Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam: £17

As you know I've been using the Clinique anti-blemish solutions range as part of my everyday skin care routine, which you can read here if you haven't already. The face wash that I was using finally ran out so I re purchased another one.
I noticed a massive difference in my skin when I stopped using it which shows just how much a difference the products have been making to my skin.

CC Creams:

As it's summer I've started to use CC creams as they are a lot lighter and in affect better for your skin as it's a cream and not foundation.
The two I've purchased are the-

L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream Anti- Dullness -£9.99
Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting cream- £9.99

I like that the l'OrĂ©al cream blends out to your skin colour, so as you are tanning in the sun you don't have to keep mixing foundations or buying news ones to match your skin as it will blend out to the colour you now are.

Mac Lipsticks: £15.50

Until I purchased these two mac lipsticks I actually didn't have any! The two colours that I've got are.
Twig
See sheer

Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation: £9.99

Along with the natural make up got summer I purchased the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. It's got a build able coverage however initially it is very light, I have seen many You Tubers using this in order to create a flawless base.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: £5.99

I've been pretty happy with the amount of make up brushes that I have in my collection right now however I did purchased this sponge from real techniques. You wouldn't think I sponge would make that much difference to your make up but it makes soo much! It makes your base look so much more like skin but still keep a high coverage. It also blends foundation into places like the hair line and the jaw line.

Hello flawless:£25.50

When using this powder after using something like the Rimmel stay matt you can see the massive different. While keeping your face from getting shiny throughout the day it also adds extra coverage.

Like I said at the beginning of this post I will be uploading a clothing haul so hopefully I will get that up in the next week or so.

Birmingham Shopping

So yesterday me, Lucy and Emily went to do a bit of shopping at the Bullring in Birmingham. One of the main reasons for the trip was to look at some prom dresses, I then came to terms with just how stressful prom shopping is and how long it is going to take me to find the perfect dress. We all had such a good day. Emily vlogged the day which you can watch here I have linked the video below but it won't come up unless you are on a computer/laptop.
She also has a main channel which you can subscribe to here

Everyday skin care routine

It's has actually taken me so long to finally get to an everyday skin care routine that I'm actually happy with! I still don't have perfect skin, but it is a lot better than what it used to be before starting to use these products.
Within a week of using these products I saw massive improvements. All of the redness completely went from my cheeks where I had blemishes. My forehead which was one if the main problem areas cleared up massively!! I now have a few blemishes left on my cheeks however day by day my skin is continuing to improve.
I do the same routine both morning and night.

Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam £15.50

I use 2-3 pumps of this, it also works as a make up remover.

Anti-Blemish Solutions Clarifying Lotion £17

You have to shake this as there is talc in it also. I use a cotton wall pad to sweep this around my face avoiding the eye area.

Anti-Blemish Solutions Clearing Moisturizer £18.50

This makes your skin feel soo soft. It also feels so light on the skin.

Anti-Blemish Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel £14

They have changed the name and size of this since I purchased it however it is still the same thing.
Now when I get a blemish which has reduced a lot more from what I used to be u dab a drop of this onto it morning and night until it has cleared. It normally takes around 2-3 days for the spot to clear. The thing I love about this is it also clears the annoying scars or redness you normally get after having a blemish. As you put it on it stings however I like that feeling as you know that it is really working! It's looks like a super small bottle however, at the begging I was using a lot of this morning and night and it didn't seem to be disappearing.

These products may seem pricey however it really does work! I had testers of all the products before purchasing them and I saw massive improvements with 2-3 days so just had to go back and buy the full sized bottles. I actually can't go on enough at how much I love these products and how much they actually worked for me!

Assistance:

When shopping at places like Clinique you have to go to a counter and normally are severed by one of their sales assistance. At places like MAC they are known for having snobby and unhelpful sales assistance so when ever going to one of their counters you know that is the assistance you are going to get. However at the Clinique counter in my hometown the woman could not have been more helpful! She gave me so many testers and honestly wanted to help me in the best way possible. When having good service you have a positive feel towards the brand, and due to the help I got when at my local Clinique counter I have a positive feel towards the brand as a whole.

Sorry if this post was so long! I recommended the anti-blemish solution range soo much! Also sorry for these pictures as they are not the best.

Farm Shop Lunch

Last weekend was both my parents birthdays however we had a wedding all weekend so did not properly celebrate. Me and my sister decided that we wanted to do a small but cute surprise for them. I think I've said before where I live is not the best with shopping and places to go. However we do have a cute little farm shop cafe which do the best food! So we decided to take them there.
Here are some pictures of what we had:

Although we planned this pretty last minute they really enjoyed it!

Ebay Brushes

This is one of  the first times I've ever ordered off eBay and was soo happy with what I got! I've seen Velvet Ghost who's YouTube link is here always mentions these brushes and uses them in tutorials so thought I would look into them. They were soo cheap at £1.79 for the bigger brushes and £1 for the smaller ones! As they were so cheap I really didn't even high expectations for how they would be. But they are amazing and will be getting more.

This foundation brush is always compared to the real techniques brushes, however I don't think they are similar. I have the buffing brush and they are the same size however the eBay brush was less dense so didn't give the flawless finish the buffing brush gives but a natural finish that still covers everything that you would want it to. I love the finish that is gives and have used it pretty much everyday since getting it.

Now I don't actually know why I got this brush, I think I ordered the wrong one, but I wouldn't recommend getting this particular brush. The other two brushes I have are so soft however due to the way these are set out they feel really scratchy. I have tried to use this for concealer but it just didn't work.

There is two things that I use this brush from. Applying cream eye shadow bases like the maybelline colour tattoos. I also use this for applying concealer under my eyes and around my nose and it works perfectly for both.

I've washed this brushes quite a few times and they have all kept their shape and have not shed any hairs at all. The handles are also strong and do not feel like they are going to break at all.

This brushes are from china, however its free delivery! I got an email telling me it would take around a month for them to arrive however they came in around a week.

Link to the brushes is here

Muji Storage

I've been debating for soo long whether to get this storage or not, but my make up was getting more and more messy. When it's not organised you begin to forget what you have and end up using the same products all the time. In the end my parents made me order the storage because they were also sick of the mess.
Here is what I ordered:

There's a five draw and three two draws
The five draw came to £24.95
And the three two draws came to £21.90
Overall it came to £51.80 including delivery which only took like two days I think so was pretty fast . I did another order for the two draw separately that came £13.90 as I was so pleased with what I had already got.

I know it may seem for just plastic boxes but they are soo worth it! It pays off in the end as you are not constantly buying new make up that you actually had at home because you now know where everything is. The boxes themselves are amazing quality, they were pretty heavy before I had put anything in them so are going to last a very long time! They are acrylic so are really strong and look a lot nice than any other make up storage I've seen. If you do have lots of make up these will help you have it all in one place and organised.

I know they are pricey but I do recommended these storage boxes a lot!

Review: Lush- Creamy Candy

I used to absolutely hate lush! As you walk past the shop you get so many different strong smells so I never went in. But for my birthday this year my friend got me one of their Xmas gift sets, it included the Father Christmas bath bomb and I loved it! While a was shopping in Luton a few weeks ago the lush shop didn't smell as strong as it usually does and was pretty empty so I thought I would see what they had. Also seeing Zoe's (Zoella's) massive lush haul made me want to try more lush products. As I smelt the candy bar it was amazing so just had to have it.

As I started crumpling it under my bath I could smell it even more, it's not really sweet like I've always thought lush products are but really creamy I guess!
It did form bubbles which then turned into a layer of froth on top on the water. My skin now feels soo moisturised I can also still smell the sweetness of it on my skin. I think I'll get 2-3 more uses out of the bar so for £2.50 it's such good value.

I can see myself starting to become addicted to lush and getting into it a lot more! I really wish I had got into it while they had all of the Christmas things because it all looked soo good!
Tweet me @RaveenaKaur_ any Lush recommendations that you have!

Mac Palette

After watching the amount of you tube videos that I do you will see that everyone has the 15 piece eye shadow palettes. Mac eye shadows have the most amazing pigmentation and blend so easily, they also last all day looking just the same many hours after doing your eye make up. I didn't want to go straight into getting the 15 piece eye shadow palette so decided to get a quad.

The four colours I got were:

Cranberry
All That Glitters
Woodwinked
Mulch

I use the Pink Gold colour tattoo when using All That Glitters and Cranberry
and the On and On Bronze colour tattoo when using Woodwinked and Mulch.

I don't have a mac store near me or any shops that sell mac (I live in the WORST place for shopping!!) I got my palette at the beginning of December and wasn't going shopping anywhere that had a Mac so chose the colours from what I had seen being used during you tube videos and from blog posts of what other bloggers had added to their palettes.

A lot of people think that Mac eye shadows are too pricey but for the quality and how long they last I do think they are defiantly worth it! I'm defiantly going to build up a 15 piece eye shadow palette but some saving is going to have to happen first.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I've added to my palette. Leave a comment or tweet me @RaveenaKaur_  telling me what your favourite mac eye shadows are.

16th Birthday

My last few posts have all been beauty related so I thought I would do more of a lifestyle post and share with you what I did for my birthday. My birthday was on the 12th of December which was agesss ago now! I turned 16 which I actually wasn't looking forward to because I really don't want to grow up aha. During the summer as my main present I went to New York with my mum, sister (who was turning 21 this year so it was her present also) aunty and cousin, and it was amazing! We did A LOT of shopping and the UK NEEDS to get a Sephora.

On my actual birthday I had a chilled night with family. On the Friday I went to Nandos with friends and the Saturday I went shopping with friends.

While in Bristol with my family we went for a birthday lunch on the Sunday. We had a little room excluded from the rest of the restaurant, the atmosphere was so chilled and I loved it a lot! So if you live in/near Bristol I recommend this restaurant a lot!

Hope you enjoyed a bit of a different blog post but if you didn't I am going back to the beauty posts soon.
Please tweet me @RaveenaKaur_ for any future blogpost requests you have.

I heart drugstore/high street tag

I am probably soooo late with this tag but it's better late the never aha. This post is going to be about all of the drugstore/highstreet make up that I am loving or have not been loving (the tittle pretty much explains itself)
Here we gooo:

1. What is your favourite drugstore make up brand?
Mmmm properly Rimmel as I do have quiet a lot of there products, however one thing I wouldn't purchase again is the eye shadow trios as there pigmentation is awful. I've also been loving Mayberline at the minute too, and L'Oreal there is soo many!

2. What are your favourite face, cheek and lip products?
Face: Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, I love using this on days when I don't need to apply foundation as I'm just going out quickly or if I feel like I'm having a good skin day. It covers under eye circles so good.
Cheek: Topshop cream blush in head over heels, I actually prefer Topshop cream blushes more than mac
Lip: Barry M lipgloss in number 11 which is a coral colour.

3. Least favourite product?
The Rimmel London Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Eyeliner I think I had it for around a week maybe a bit more and it dried out soo quickly. It was a lot thinner than I thought it was going to be but pretty easy to apply. I would not re purchase this because of how fast it dried out.

4. What is the best make up bargain?
The Mayberline colour tattoos and the Topshop highlighter in crescent moon. Both of these products are amazing for the prices they are.
Mayberline colour tattoos are £5 however boots always have offers on. The pigmentation is amazing they also keep my eye shadow on for a very long time without creasing!
The Topshop highlighter in crescent moon is my favourite highlighter that I've ever used. It's so pigmented and I use the smallest bit so it's going to take me so long to use as its massive.

5. What is your favourite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)
The famous bronzer. I think it was previously sold in Superdrug but is now on the famous make up website. I love this bronzer soo much, I wore it everyday during the summer as it adds a natural bronzed glow to your face. I would only use this during the summer as it has a simmer to it. I love it soo much and have not not seen it on blogs or YouTube videos.

6. A Drugstore product that is overpriced?
L'Oreal primer for the amount that you get there is not a lot for £9.99. Its meant to be a dupe for the mac strobe cream but I think its cheaper to buy that for the amount you get.

7. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
Collection lasting perfection concealer this is soo hyped on YouTube and Blogs! I had to purchase it to see just what all the hype was about, however it did not meet the exceptions at all. I have dry skin so when applying this to any blemishes that are quiet bad it does cover it up but clings to any dry skin. I had a pretty large spot a while ago, when applying this concealed it didn't cover up the blemish at all! It stuck to the spot making it look even worse I think. I don't think I will be re purchasing this. When something is soo hyped there is so much expectation but it really didn't meet the expectations I had.
