Eye Make Up Remover

Taking off eye make up after a long day or night out is the most annoying thing! If you don't have the right products to remove your eye make up it may take you a lot longer than needed, you may also be left with dark circles. Using make up wipes may work however many people scrub at their eyes which isn't to good as they are a sensitive area, I personally find that make up wipes do not remove all of my mascara without having to use a few.

The body shop camomile kind eye make up remover is one of the best products for removing eye make up yet! I use a few drops on a cotton wool pad, hold it over my eye for a few seconds and sweep it away. In just them few seconds it removes all of my eye make up. Depending on how much mascara I've applied I may need to use a tiny bit more. I've got this in my eye on many occasions however it didn't sting or irritate my eye at all.

I recommend this eye make up remover so much I love it soo much! Reading some of the reviews on the body shop website they are also all positive.

When removing eye make up with cotton wool pads I recommend using the super drug cotton wool pads as they are really thick so absorb a lot more products that most cotton wool pads would. They are also really big so I split it in half using one half per eye.

As always I hope you found this post useful!

Asos Haul

Recently Asos had a mini sale on some of there make up. I knew that asos sold benefit make up but I had no idea that they sold highstreet/drugstore make up. Quite a few of the items I got were things I was repurchasing.
Here is what I ordered:

Repurchase- Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Classic Beige- I use this concealer allll the time! I use the under my eyes and around my nose if I have any redness. I wouldn't say it gives amazing coverage over spots, however it is really moisturising. £3.50

Barry M Nail Polish in Baby Pink- This is such a cute colour! However it is more of a summer colour than autumn/winter so I'm yet to wear it. £2.00

Repurchase- Benefit Brow Zing in Dark- On days when I'm doing a full make up look, or just spending ages on my make up ill use this eyebrow kit. I use this to fill in my eyebrows (not drawing them on). It defines the brows but soo naturally, also the wax keeps you eyebrows neat all day. £21.00

Barry M Lip Gloss Wand in Coral- I love Barry M Lip Glosses! I hate lip gloss that is soo sticky and is just annoying, but this looks soo glossy but isn't sticky at all. £2.50

Repurchase- Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder in warm beige- This powder keeps you matt, taking the shine away from your face if you have become shiny. £2.50

Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush in Pink Rose- This blush is such a natural deep pink colour, I love the finish this blush gives. It stays in place all day and just looks soo natural. The one thing I don't like about this blush is the size, I know it doesn't affect the product but why is it really soo small? £2.50

Barry M Nail Paint Pastel in Peach Melba- Similar to the Baby Pink nail polish I am yet to use this, as it is more of a summer colour. £2.00

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara- I've been using this mascara soooo much since I purchased it. It makes your lashes look soo volumised, also adding soo much length! Someone asked me if i was wearing fake lashes while wearing this which I was pretty pleased about! £4.50

Apart from the nail varnishes which I've not used I would recommend all of the products mentioned in this post.

Everyday Make Up

My last two posts have been pretty long so I thought I would do a smaller post about the make up I'm currently using on a daily basis. I have changed a few products like blush and lipstick from summer colours into autumn/winter. If I was going to wear make up to school, I would wear all the same products without the eye shadow and lipstick. Replacing the lipstick with something more natural like the maybelline baby lips. Here are the products that I am currently using!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation in "Classic Beige"
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in "Classic Beige"
Benefit Boi-ing in "2"
Estée Lauder tender blush in " 103 Wild Rose"
Famous Bronze Pot in "Shade 4- Bali"
Rimmel Professional Eye Brow Pencil in "Dark Brow"
Or for my eyebrows I like to use the
Benefit Brow Zings in "Deep"
Esstée Lauder eyeshadow duo in "Mocha"
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara
(I recently purchased this mascara and am loving it A LOT!)
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eye liner
Rimmel Stay Matt Powder in "Warm Beige"
Lancome Juicy Tube in "Clear"

I think that both of the Esstée Lauder products I have mentioned have been discontinued, so are no longer available.

I hope you found this little post useful. I will do full reviews on most of the products I have mentioned, however I wanted to keep this post short and sweet.

Mac brushes

Hey school work is still increasing like crazy! I recently purchased a few new mac brushes and felt like my collection was finally complete, so I've decided to show you my whole collection and the different brushes I use for different things. I do love having mac brushes as they give such a good finish, they also last for so long. I would highly recommend every brush that I am going to talk about.

187- Duo Fibre Brush-
This is one of my favourite mac brushes! I use this in a circular motion around my face to apply my foundation. The brush gives such a natural and dewy finish, it applies your foundation in a way that does not look at all caked but like skin. As the brush gives such a natural finish only a small amount of foundation is needed to be applied all around your face, I only use half a pump when using this brush. This brush can be used for other products also like cream blushes, powder blushes and bronzer.

188- Small Duo Fibre Face Brush- This brush has the same fibres as the 187 brush. I love to use this brush when applying cream blush most as it gives a dewy finish. Applying just the right amount of blush, it also gives you complete control to where you are applying the blush. As you can see this is one the brushes I've had for the longest.
Both duo fibre brushes shed initially.

168- Large Angle Contour Brush-

I use this brush when applying powder blush. It is a contour but the shape glides over the apples of my cheeks, applying the blush it just the right places.

219- Pencil Brush-
This brush is amazing for adding eye shadow to the lower lash line and inner corner highlight. This brush also creates the perfect V shape of eye shadow in the outer corner of the eye for creating a smoky look.

224- Tapered Blending Brush-
After creating your V shape with the 219 brush, this brush blends all of your eye shadows flawlessly.

239- Eye Shader Brush-
This brush packs on eye shadows spreading the shadow all over the eye. It also picks up just the right amount of pigment needed which minimises fall down.                     http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/145/383/Products/Brushes/Eye/239-Eye-Shader-Brush/index.tmpl

263 Small Angle Brush-
Eye liner is one of the things I find the hardest to do! However this brush makes it soo easy. As the brush is angled it makes the sharpest line in a few strokes.

217- Blending Brush-
When blending eye shadows it can become very difficult if to much colour has been added, but the 217 brush picks up just the right amount just like the 239. The brush is just the right size for blending in the outer corners, allowing you to blend the eye shadow perfectly.

Please comment down below if you want me to go into any more detail about any of the brushes I have written about.

Mascara

Hey sorry this blog post has taken soo me long to upload. Its crazy how school work has massively increased this past term!!
Anyway this blog post is about a few mascaras I have been using this month and what I think of them. Before applying mascara you should always curl your lashes to ensure they are curly and not just going straight, some people have naturally curly lashes and some don't so curling them is important.

Bourjois Mascara Volume Glamour Mascara Noir Ebene- Is a mascara that is designed to make your lashes more volumised, I wouldn't say it adds that much volume to lashes it just defines them more. I just use this mascara at school as it defines them more than they are naturally but not adding much volume so it looks really natural. I wouldn't use this mascara just on its own other than for school unless you were going to use another mascara with it also. Reading the descrption on the Superdrug website it doesn't really do any of what it is saying.

Maybelline Falsies Black Drama Mascara- I got this mascara as it was recommended to me, however I don't think I will be repurchasing it as it takes a while to apply or it will start to become clumpy and not really make your lashes look to good and that is not want you want from a mascara! It does volumise your lashes but I also use my L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara to define my lashes and get rid of clumps. It also adds length but not as much as the L'Oreal mascara does. When using this mascara try not to apply too much when using it. Also always make sure that the curved bit is against your lashes when applying.
I would use this mascara on a days where I don't want my mascara to look as natural as the L'Oreal mascara would however if im in a rush doing my make up this wouldn't be the mascara I would go for.

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara Black- I love this mascara! It makes lashes look amazing, it's an amazing mascara to use on its own or with other if they have become clumpy like the maybelline falsies does. It is such an easy mascara to use and I will definitely be repurchasing it. I would use this as a during the day as it adds a lot of length to lashes and volumises them. I couldn't fault this mascara at all and just think it is amazing. It is a natural looks mascara depending on how much you apply.
Mac In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash-  This has to be the best mascara I have used. It is more pricey than the other but is worth it, the mascara is thick but not so thick it becomes clumpy. It makes lashes looks as though they are fake adding amazing amounts of length, volume and definition it gives. After applying one stroke of this mascara you will see a massive difference. I would not use this all the time it would be more for evenings or on nights out.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara- I use this mascara on the bottom lashes (hence the name). It is soo easy to apply as the brush is small so tips able to define the bottom lashes easily. It is soo long lasting so doesn't drop into your skin leaving black dots under your eyes.

Wow I said mascara A LOT. If you want me to go into any more detail about any of the mascaras please comment down below.

Hope you found this useful :)

A concert for Stephen Lawrence

This Sunday I travelled down to London with one of my close friends Emily to see an amazing line up of people performing in the memory of Stephen Lawrence at the O2 arena. The line up included: Emeli Sande, Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth, Plan B, Jamie Cullem, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental, Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Beverley Knight, Ellie Goulding, Jahmene Douglas and the London Community Gospel Choir. The concert was hosted by Reggie Yates and Nick Grimshaw. The concert marked the 20th anniversary of Stephen Lawrence's murder. We got the train to London at 8am in order to start queuing before the doors open so could be as close as possible. Queuing for soo long meant drinking a lot of Starbucks.

As everyone around us was the same sort of age we made quiet a few new friends and just spoke to everyone. After waiting for most of the day the doors finally opened at we got to the barrier! The concert was actually amazing, the whole atmosphere was the best thing. The whole concert was for an amazing charity and I am so glad that I got the chance to go. I will be adding all of the pictures from the concert very soon.
